Otto Frödin’s excavations
During the earlier excavations the hazelnuts were collected in the form of samples in 79 coordinate squares with the following distribution (Browall 2011:339ff.; tabell 180).

Apart from hazelnuts, two walnut shells and seven specimens of acorn are described in table 180. This was the first time walnut had been found in a prehistoric context in Sweden and the specialists of the time were doubtful as to their prehistoric authenticity (Browall 2011:340). No renewed examination of these finds has been undertaken.
Mats P. Malmer’s excavations
All 74 records in the museum database of nuts consist of hazelnuts. The distribution by trench is as follows:
