Guided tour in the Viking World
Vikings never cease to fascinate. Join us on a journey of discovery in the exhibition The Viking World. Meet the people of the Viking Age through unique objects that bear witness to death rituals, the power of fortune-tellers, the art of shipbuilding and long-distance voyages.
The Viking World is one of the largest viking exhibitions in the world. Explore a thousand square metres of thrilling stories, interactive stations for all senses, and 2,500 original objects.
Dates and times
Daily 15 June – 25 August, 15.00–15.30.
We also offer a guided tour in Swedish every day 13.30–14.00 and a guided tour for families (in Swedish) every day 11.30–12.00.
Tickets
Tickets to the guided tour are included in the museum admission. Ask for tickets at the information desk. Suitable from 10 years of age.
Viking summer
The guided tour is a part of Viking Summer. In the museum’s green courtyard, you can bake Viking Age bread and try handicrafts, clothes and games. All activities are included in the museum admission and children 0-18 years of age have free admission.
Restaurant Rosengården
Enjoy a lunch in our pleasant restaurant, here a Viking plate and pancakes for the little ones are served. Don’t miss our beautiful outdoor courtyard where you can enjoy a coffee, wine and beer, and ice cream.

Bring a memento of your Viking summer experience home with you! Browse our selection of souvenirs, books, stuffed animals, bows, swords and shields that provide many hours of fun play. Annual pass
Our annual pass (SEK 450) is valid for all museums included in the National Historical Museums. The pass includes free admission to the museums as well as all permanent and temporary exhibitions at:
