Baltic Warriors

A new way to look at environmental issues related to the Baltic Sea.

The Baltic Sea is one of the most polluted seas in the world; a sea suffering from large “dead zones” without oxygen. The ocean is surrounded by nine countries, whose efforts to save it have proved to be insufficient. Baltic Warriors reflects reality in a playful way and provides a unique opportunity to fight for the Baltic Sea along with the players in real life environmental policy.

LARP

Now the turn has come to Stockholm, where you can participate and save the Baltic Sea. Join us in an alternate reality where vikingzombies rises from the oceans to represent the dead zones in the ocean. Come and take on the role of scientists, politicians, activists or citizens of a LARP going on an afternoon.

Panel discussion

The day ends with a panel discussion with Peter Wallenberg, LRF, Mikhail Durkin, Coalition Clean Baltic, Mike Pohjola, Speldesigner from Helsinki, Michelle McCrackin, Biogeochemist from the Baltic Eye, Stockholms UNI Östersjöcentrum. Moderator: Beatrice Rindevall from Supermiljöbloggen.

The event is part of the larger Baltic Warriors transmedia project, produced by the production company Kinomaton Berlin in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut.
