OHTSEDIDH – Sami Cultural Expressions in Central Sweden
A travelling exhibition highlighting and spreading knowledge about Sami history and cultural heritage in Central Sweden. On view from 16 March to 1 September, 2024.
There is not just one Sami history, but many.
The word Ohtsedidh is Southern Sami and means to seek or search for something.
The exhibition is aimed at schools, but all visitors are welcome.
Exhibition production
The exhibition is produced by Dalarna Museum, County Museum of Gävleborg, Västmanland County Museum, and Gaaltije Foundation, a Southern Sami cultural center.
The producing parties have created the exhibition as part of a larger research project.
