Twinsome Minds: Recovering 1916 in images and stories

The Ambassador of Ireland, Orla O’Hanrahan, is pleased to invite you to Twinsome Minds, a Presentation and Lecture by Professor Richard Kearney to mark the 1916 Commemorations this year. The performance premiered at the Abbey Theatre, Dublin on 23 January, 2016.

Twinsome Minds: Recovering 1916 in images and stories, is a multimedia performed talk with text by Professor Richard Kearney and moving images by Sheila Gallagher. Through an interplay of storytelling, animations, music and poetry, the performance mines what is often lost behind official historical accounts and acts of Commemoration, and proposes a transformative work of interpreting the Easter Rising for a new generation.
